Countering Active Threat Training (CATT)
Developed for faith-based organizations, houses of worship, and individuals,
CATT will deliver a comprehensive training program with potentially life-saving response options.
This on-line training is co-sponsored by Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey, Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest, Jewish Federation of Northern NJ, and Jewish Federation of Southern NJ, along with Secure Community Network (SCN), a security arm of Jewish Federations of North America.

Learning Objectives:
- Know the difference of an Active Threat;
- Know the difference between security and safety;
- Have a better understanding of Active Threat incidents;
- Identify and explain modes of action during an active shooter incident: RUN, HIDE, FIGHT;
- Understand how to prepare for an Active Threat event;
- Know how to respond to law enforcement’s arrival;
- Recognize the importance of additional training such as “Stop the Bleed” and;
- Be able to commit to action during an Active Threat event.
